Our Labor Days

Is this your Labor Day?

According to the Department of Labor, the history of Labor Day was a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.
It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Wow! So Labor Day, the first Monday of September each year is set aside as recognition for social and economic achievements and to those whose work has contributed to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country.

I don’t know about you, but the biggest celebration that I’m aware of on any given Labor Day is that it’s a day OFF!

I can’t seem to get passed “contributions made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country.”

Most of us are probably looking to strengthen our skills, to gain some prosperity, so we can contribute to the well-being of our family, business or ministry.  I’m a pretty goals oriented person and I’m always striving to make improvements but, the “point” I’m trying to make here is to bring some attention to our personal Labor Days.

Let’s ask ourselves, what are we contributing?

Have we made progress toward the strength, prosperity and well-being of anything other than our own personal agendas and bottom lines?

How focused are we really on others?

How much do we look to strengthen one another?

Think of the change, the impact, the difference we could have if each one of us helped another?!

When we adopt a TEAM mentality, Together Each Achieves More our communities would look and feel so different, wouldn’t you agree?

Every day is a new day to grow. Need encouragement? Read this post.

Working to make progress to make my own personal labor days a positive impact on another fellow laborer right there with you,

What are your labor days bringing you these days?
