I Can Be Paralyzed By “What If” or Make Progress By “What Is”

Each day I can make the choice to be paralyzed by what if or I can make progress by what IS.

Paralyzing.

What if I didn’t make the right choice?
What if others don’t approve?
What if I chose the wrong job, home, church…?
What if I mess up?
What if it doesn’t go well?

What if…what if…what if…

We act what we believe so what if we believe what could be or better yet…what is?

I have had my share of analysis paralysis before, but over time I’ve learned that by not making a decision, one has been made for me.

Now I don’t know about you, but this girl likes to have a reasonable amount of control when it’s possible.

Trust me, the more you can narrow down your options and be decisive, the better! Why?

A. you get started sooner

B. you’ll know if it was a good decision or not and

C. you can start over or start correcting/improving ASAP

Don’t let what if paralyze you!
Progress is better than perfection (aka analysis paralysis)!
Perfection means nothing if you don’t move, especially since there’s no such thing as perfect!!

Choose to make progress by believing what is.

Each day I can make the choice to…

Make it a good day because it could make someone else’s day good.

Believe what is

Work hard because it’s worth the reward.

Love well because I want to be loved well.

Reflect because I want to be better than I was yesterday.

Give grace because it reminds me I need it too.

Encourage someone because it encourages me and gives hope.

Please don’t be paralyzed by what if anymore, instead make the choice to act and believe what is within your reasonable amount of control and let it BE!

Making conscious choices to make progress each day,

Deana

Having read this I believed it was extremely enlightening. I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this information together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and leaving comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
