We live in an age and world of distraction on a daily basis, so what do you need in order to really find your focus?
Well, while we could argue and debate over all the things you would need in order to achieve serious focus on your biggest goals, but I believe that there are two that will definitely get the ball rolling.
Before you are able to even define what it is you’re even needing focus for, discover how wide the gap is to achieve the goal, determine what it’s going to take and finally, as Nike says…Just Do It! you will first need two very important elements.
One requires action and the other mindset.
If you know anything about action, then you know it first takes mindset to get moving! So let’s start there shall we?
Needed “thing” #1: Courage
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of courage is: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.
So here we see that courage is overcoming the obstacles in our minds FIRST, before we even take our next step. Which brings us to…
Needed “thing” #2: Strength
And again to our friend Merriam-Webster for a definition of strength: the quality or state of being strong; capacity for exertion or endurance.
Once we overcome the obstacles in our mind, we’ve tapped into focus necessity #1 – courage. Then we will have the capacity to tackle focus necessity #2 – strength.
The next time you are trying to defeat that pesky S.O.S. be sure to start with these two things, Courage & Strength.
